14 Best Foods That Cleanse the Liver Effectively ( 3, 6 & 7 will shock you)

14 Best Foods That Cleanse the Liver Effectively

Modern society is a sad state that produces a lot of overexploited livers. When we eat too much or eat processed or fried foods, or when we are exposed to environmental pollutants or stress, the liver becomes overloaded. When the liver is taxed, it can not effectively treat toxins and fats. Many foods can help clean the liver naturally by stimulating its natural ability to expel toxic waste from the body.

In the past, I discussed my favorite cleansing foods. The list in this article is a little more specific and focuses primarily on foods that can help cleanse your liver.

Just a few simple steps to promote normal liver health. In addition to taking a liver cleanse supplement and performing at least two cleanings of the liver and gall bladder a year, the best way to keep your liver healthy and functioning is to eat the following foods. I encourage you to incorporate these liver cleansing foods into your diet.

14 Best foods that cleanse the liver Effectively

  1. Garlic

Only a small amount of this pungent white light bulb can activate liver enzymes that help your body eliminate toxins. [1] Garlic also contains large amounts of allicin and selenium, two natural compounds that help clean the liver.

  1. Grapefruit

Rich in vitamin C and antioxidants, citrus fruits such as grapefruit, oranges, limes and lemons promote the natural cleansing of the liver. [2] Take a small glass of freshly squeezed grapefruit juice to stimulate the production of liver detoxification enzymes that help eliminate carcinogens and other toxins.

  1. Beets and carrots

Both are extremely rich in plant flavonoids and beta-carotene; eating beets and carrots can stimulate and support overall liver function.

  1. Green tea

This liver-rich drink contains many herbal antioxidants known as catechin compounds, known to facilitate liver function [4]. Green tea is a delicious and healthy addition to any diet. Just remember that green tea offers the benefits, not the green tea extract. Some research suggests that green tea extract may have a negative effect on liver health [5]. Stay simple and respect the drink to enjoy the benefits of green tea.

  1. Leafy green vegetables

One of our most powerful allies in liver cleansing, leafy vegetables can be eaten raw, cooked or juiced. Extremely rich in chlorophyll, greens absorb environmental toxins from the bloodstream. [6] With their distinct ability to neutralize heavy metals, chemicals and pesticides, these cleansing foods are a powerful mechanism for protecting the liver.

Include green leafy vegetables such as bitter gourd, arugula, dandelion, spinach, mustard and chicory in your diet. This will increase the creation and circulation of bile, the substance that removes waste from organs and blood.

  1. Avocados

This nutrient-rich superfood helps the body produce glutathione, a compound needed by the liver to clean up harmful toxins.

  1. Apples

Rich in pectin, apples contain the chemical components needed to cleanse and release toxins from the digestive tract. This facilitates the treatment of the toxic load by the liver during the cleaning process.

  1. Olive oil

Cold pressed organic oils such as olive, hemp and flaxseed are ideal for the liver when used sparingly. They help the body by providing a lipid base that can absorb harmful toxins into the body. [9] In this way, they take some of the burden of the liver.

  1. Alternative Grains

If your diet includes wheat, flour or other standard cereals, it’s time to make some changes. And alternative grains like quinoa, millet and buckwheat can help. Your liver is the filter of your body for toxins, and if you have certain sensitivities, grains that contain gluten only add to it. One study found that people with gluten sensitivity also had abnormal liver enzyme test results

  1. Cruciferous vegetables

Broccoli and cauliflower are good sources of glucosinolate, which promotes the production of enzymes in the liver. These natural enzymes eliminate carcinogens and other toxins from the body and can significantly reduce the risks associated with cancer.

  1. Lemons and limes

These citrus fruits are rich in vitamin C, which helps the body to synthesize toxic substances into substances that can be absorbed by water. Drinking lemon juice or freshly squeezed lime in the morning can stimulate the liver

  1. Walnuts

Rich in amino acid, arginine, nuts support the liver by detoxifying ammonia. [11] Walnuts are also rich in glutathione and omega-3 fatty acids [12], which promote normal liver cleansing. [13, 14] Be sure to chew the nuts until they are liquefied before swallowing.

  1. Cabbage

Like broccoli and cauliflower, eating cabbage stimulates detoxifying liver enzymes that help flush out toxins. Kimchi, cabbage salad, cabbage soup and sauerkraut are great foods for sprouts to add to your diet.

  1. Turmeric

Turmeric is the favorite spice of the liver. Try adding some of this detoxifying substance to your next lentil stew or vegetable dish for instant liver harvesting. Turmeric helps stimulate liver detoxification by helping enzymes that actively eliminate food toxins.

This golden spice tastes great in all types of dishes, but you can still increase your consumption with a turmeric supplement.

A word of warning Turmeric supplements are notorious for low quality ingredients and even the most dangerous contaminations.

Buy only turmeric of the highest quality from the most reputable sources. I encourage you to try the turmeric supplement from the Global Healing Center. This high quality liquid supplement contains powerful antioxidants and comes only from Organic Curcuma Longa Root.

Tips for cleaning the liver

Other liver cleansing foods not listed above include artichokes, asparagus, kale and Brussels sprouts. Eating the foods listed above is a great way to help your liver function properly. However, for best results, I recommend doing a liver cleanse. Performing a liver cleanse at least twice a year will remove any foreign substance that could be trapped in your liver.
