Enugu State News | Ugwuanyi has no Rival in Enugu 2019 says Ezeagu LG Chairman
Enugu State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi is said to have no rival for the Governorship race in the state comes 2019.
The Chairman of Ezeagu Local Government council, Hon. Fred Chukwudi Ezinwa said it in an interview.
According to the chairman, anybody who is coming to contest for 2019 Governorship election in Enugu State is only coming to test his popularity.
“In Enugu, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi is not contesting election with anybody in 2019. You don’t change a winning team. So, to me I don’t think anybody is coming to contest the governor in the state because there is absolutely nothing they are coming to do or tell us they will do that governor Ugwuanyi has not done. But if some of them want to come and test their popularity, fine and good”.
“What are you coming to change, is it in infrastructural development? 100%. Salary payment, 100%. One of the ministers during a visit to Enugu State, praised the governor, saying that the governor has turn Enugu to Dubai of South East.
“The Governor has built the Internal Revenue IGR of the state, so what are you coming to do? A state that is not an oil producing state, doing better than states that are producing oil, “Hon. Ezinwa Chukwudi said.
Hon. Fred Chukwudi Ezinwa promised total support of Ezeagu people for his administration, adding that the governor has kept his promise to Ezeagu, and the people will equally pay him for that. “We are going to show him that one good tenure deserve another, let him just give us the whistles, we are ever ready.
